This policy explains how personal data is processed when you use the Noma mobile app or the web version of Noma (together, “Noma”).
In short: your progress is saved on your device. With your prior consent, Noma uses Amplitude to measure app usage and may visually replay sessions. Noma does not sell your data.
1. Data controller and contact
The publisher of Noma, identified in the app’s legal notices, is the data controller for the processing described below. It determines why and how data is used.
For any question or to exercise your rights, you can write to [email protected].
2. Data processed
Noma does not ask you to create an account and does not directly collect your name, postal address, precise GPS location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
Depending on your use and your choices, the following categories of data may be processed:
- Locally stored data: language, vibration and notification preferences, progress, completed levels and tutorials, streaks and daily puzzles, ongoing games, moves played, rewards, hints and available “wands”.
- Amplitude technical data: a pseudonymous identifier assigned to the device or browser, IP address and approximate location that may be inferred from it, device model and manufacturer, operating system, browser, app version, language, platform, carrier when available, date and time of events.
- Amplitude usage data: screens and journeys viewed, usage durations, game, puzzle, difficulty, grid size, puzzle and attempt identifiers, generation seed, number of moves, actions and helps used, abandons and successes, progress, inventory, daily streak, completed tutorials, enabled preferences.
- Web autocapture: pages, URL, page title and referrer, clicks or element changes, display dimensions, performance and technical information related to network requests.
- Session Replay: visual reconstruction of a session and interactions such as clicks, taps, scrolling, and screen changes. The “medium” masking level masks form fields and typed inputs, but other on-screen text may remain visible.
- Contact requests: email address, any name or pseudonym you provide, message content, attachments, and information needed to respond to your request.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the game, remembering your settings, and restoring your progress: performance of the service you request. This data stays on your device, except for usage indicators sent to Amplitude with your consent.
- Measuring audience, understanding user journeys and difficulties, improving puzzles, usability, stability and performance through Amplitude, autocapture and Session Replay: your prior consent. You can refuse or withdraw this consent without losing access to the game.
- Responding to messages and to requests to exercise rights: Noma’s legitimate interest in providing support and complying with your requests, or taking steps at your request depending on the context.
- Preventing abuse, securing the service, and defending Noma’s rights: Noma’s legitimate interest in protecting the app and its users.
